District police Shaheed Benazirabad release monthly performance report

NAWABSHAH, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Mar, 2026) Under the special directives of SSP Shaheed Benazirabad Sameer Noor Channa, the district police have released it's monthly performance report highlighting a large-scale crackdown against criminals, drug dealers, and proclaimed offenders during the past 30 days.

According to the report, police busted 10 dangerous gangs involved in organized crime across different areas of the district.

During the same period, six police encounters took place in which six robbers were arrested in injured condition, while 10 other active criminals were also taken into custody.

Police also arrested 112 proclaimed and absconding offenders who had been evading law enforcement and brought them before the law.

In the ongoing campaign against illegal weapons, police registered 42 cases and arrested 42 suspects.

The recovered weapons include 35 pistols, five rifles, two repeaters, and 86 rounds of ammunition.

As part of the anti-narcotics drive, police registered 23 cases and arrested 25 drug dealers. The recovered narcotics include 10 kilo and 400 grams of hashish, 105 liters of locally brewed liquor, 60 bottles of whiskey, and 17 grams of ice (crystal meth).

Police also intensified operations against sale of harmful gutka. A total of 49 cases were registered and 54 suspects were arrested. During the operations, 17 kilograms and 775 grams of Z-21 gutka and more than 283 kilograms of other harmful gutka were seized.

On the instructions of SSP Sameer Noor Channa, police also recovered stolen and snatched property and returned it to the rightful owners. An amount of Rs800,000 snatched from a hiring agency was recovered and handed back to the owner. In addition, six kilograms of silver and 20 grams of gold stolen from a jewelry shop were also recovered and returned. More than 20 motorcycles snatched or stolen during incidents of theft and robbery were recovered. Police also initiated legal action against 11 motorcycles, one Qingchi rickshaw, and one Datsun vehicle used in criminal activities. In his message, SSP said that protection of lives and property of citizens remains top priority of police. He said that Shaheed Benazirabad Police have no leniency for criminals and operations against criminal elements will continue with greater intensity to ensure lasting peace in the district.
