NAWABSHAH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Apr, 2026) Deputy Commissioner Shaheed Benazirabad, Abdul Samad Nizamani, chaired a meeting Tuesday at Darbar Hall of DC Office.
During meeting, it was decided that LPG gas shops operating within Nawabshah city will be relocated out of the city limits. Addressing the meeting, Deputy Commissioner said that LPG gas shops established in densely populated areas have become a serious threat to the life and property of citizens.
Therefore, it is need to shift them outside the city in accordance with rules and regulations. DC directed concerned officers to immediately conduct a survey to identify illegal and hazardous LPG shops and initiate legal action against them.
He emphasized that no negligence or delay in the relocation process would be tolerated. Deputy Commissioner also instructed that an effective strategy be devised to provide alternative suitable locations to shopkeepers so that their businesses are not adversely affected while ensuring public safety.
Meeting also stressed the need to further tighten safety measures in the city and ensure strict enforcement of law through joint action. Deputy Commissioner also directed Assistant Commissioner to take action against those reopening sealed LPG shops or continuing illegal operations.
Representatives of Gas Association assured full cooperation in implementing the decision to relocate LPG shops outside the city. The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Nawabshah Iqbal Ahmed Tunio, Staff Officer to Deputy Commissioner Zubair Ahmed Mallah, Asad Ali Memon, and representatives of the Gas Association.
