Donald Trump should recommend Shahbaz Sharif and Syed Asim Munir for Nobel Peace Prize

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Apr, 2026) Federal Minister for board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh has said that US President Donald Trump should recommend Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace prize. He said this on the occasion of his visit to Gujranwala Expo 2026 at Expo Center, Karachi on Saturday.

He added that Iran-US talks are being held under the mediation of Pakistan, this is a great honor for us, we have emerged as a strong country in this region. Pakistan has become the center of attention of the world at this time. Earlier, Pakistan had made friendship between the US and China in 1971. Pakistan's role will always be remembered, he said.

Federal Minister further said Sheikh Qaiser further said that it is hoped that sanctions on Iran will also be relaxed.

Pakistan will also benefit from the end of the war. He said that the country is moving forward not through debt but through investment. A large company from China and Saudi Arabia has announced further large investments in Pakistan. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the country has found stability, he further said.

Earlier, the Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Shaikh visited various stalls and met with industrialist and traders from Gujranwala. On this occasion, MNA Hafeez Uddin Advocate was also present with the Federal Minister.
