DPM, Egyptian FM discuss current developments in region

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Apr, 2026) Deputy Prime Minister / Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar spoke Sunday with the Foreign Minister of Egypt Badr Abdelatty.

They discussed key current developments in the regional situation, including the situation in the Gaza Strip.

The DPM/FM emphasized the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing all issues, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, stability, and constructive engagement.

Both leaders expressed hope for a successful next round of talks between Iran and the United States for achieving durable peace in the region and beyond, and agreed to remain in contact.
