DPM/FM, Tajik FM reaffirm longstanding brotherly ties between two countries

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jul, 2026) Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin, Saturday, reaffirmed the longstanding, brotherly and close ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan.

They also expressed their shared commitment to further expanding cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity, energy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.

The DPM/FM met with the Tajik foreign minister on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers meeting in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, the Foreign Office Spokesperson said in a press release.

They underscored the importance of sustained high-level exchanges to further strengthen the bilateral partnership.

Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin reaffirmed Tajikistan’s support for Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote peace, stability, and the peaceful resolution of regional issues.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments and emphasized the importance of cooperation at multilateral forums to advance peace, stability, and prosperity.
