DPM highlights role of professional media in fostering informed public discourse

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Ms. Ambreen Jan, Chairperson of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) called on Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Friday.

Chairperson congratulated DPM/FM and MoFA team for their role in the mediation and facilitation efforts in handling the regional conflict for the purpose of peace and security in the region and beyond.

DPM/FM, while thanking the Chairperson, highlighted the importance of responsible and professional media in promoting informed public discourse and constructive public understanding.

He expressed confidence in PEMRA’s efforts to encourage professionalism and best practices in the media sector.
