DPO Abbottabad plants first sapling as traffic police joins green mission

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) Traffic Police Abbottabad on Thursday formally launched a tree plantation campaign aimed at promoting environmental sustainability and a greener future.

The campaign was inaugurated by Deputy Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad, Haroon Rashid, who planted a sapling as a symbolic start to the drive. The event was attended by SSP Traffic Ishtiaq Khan and other senior officers.

Addressing the Traffic Police personnel on the occasion, DPO Haroon Rashid emphasized the significance of tree plantation, stating that planting trees not only helps combat environmental pollution but also ensures a healthier and more sustainable environment for future generations.

He urged the officers and personnel to actively participate in the campaign and contribute to making Abbottabad a lush green and beautiful city by planting maximum trees.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Ishtiaq Khan along with other officers also took part in the drive and reaffirmed their commitment to making the campaign a success, pledging to further enhance the natural beauty and greenery of Abbottabad.
