DPO Abbottabad vows no compromise on merit, transparency and promotion

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th Mar, 2026) Emphasizing strict adherence to merit, transparency, and discipline, District Police Officer (DPO) Abbottabad Haroon Rashid Khan stated that no negligence would be tolerated in the departmental promotion process.

He expressed these views during his visit to the examination center set up at Government High school No. 3 for the ongoing B-1 departmental promotion workshops of Hazara Police.

According to details, the DPO visited the examination center to review the ongoing examination process of the B-1 promotion workshops being conducted across Hazara Region. SP Cantt Ali Hamza Butt, DSP Cantt, DSP Headquarters, along with other officers and relevant staff, were also present on the occasion.

During the visit, Haroon Rashid Khan inspected the examination halls and reviewed in detail the arrangements made to ensure transparency, discipline, and merit.

He also assessed the facilities provided to the participating police personnel and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements.

The DPO also took a comprehensive review of security measures and directed the concerned officers to ensure foolproof security throughout the examination process to avoid any untoward incidents. He reiterated that maintaining transparency and merit in all stages of the examination was of utmost importance.

Officials informed the DPO that police personnel from all districts of Hazara Region participated in the examination, showcasing their professional competence for departmental promotion.

Concluding his visit, the DPO directed the officers to ensure that the entire examination process is completed in an organized manner, with strict compliance to merit, transparency, and discipline.
