DPO, Army Officers Review Muharram Security Arrangements at Imambargah in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 23rd Jun, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Dr. Naveed Atif, accompanied by officers of the Pakistan Army, on Tuesday visited Imambargah Thatti Sharqi to assess law and order and review security preparations ahead of Muharram observances in the district.

During the visit, the officers met with the imambargah administration and held detailed discussions on security measures, crowd management plans, and other arrangements for Muharram gatherings and processions. The delegation also inspected sensitive locations, entry and exit points, rooftop duty posts, and other key security installations.

Dr. Naveed Atif and the Army officers reviewed the performance of police personnel deployed at the site, praising their commitment and professionalism.

The DPO directed security staff to remain vigilant and maintain a high level of preparedness throughout the holy month.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Atif said comprehensive security measures were being implemented to ensure the safety of all Muharram congregations and processions. He emphasized that all available resources would be utilized to maintain law and order across the district and urged citizens to respect one another’s beliefs and cooperate fully with security personnel to help ensure a peaceful Muharram.
