DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 27th May, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmad and Deputy Commissioner Hikmat Ullah Khan on Wednesday spent Eid-ul-Azha with the families of police martyrs, paying tribute to their sacrifices for the country and public safety.
According to police spokesman the officials, accompanied by In-charge Shohada Desk Malik Muhammad Imran visited the homes of martyr LHC Abdul Rehman and martyr HC Ghulam Muhammad in Kulachi area.
Martyr Abdul Rehman embraced martyrdom during a terrorist attack on Kulachi Police Station on June 25, 2011, while martyr Ghulam Muhammad was martyred during duty at Malangi Mor Kulachi last year.
The DPO and Deputy Commissioner met the children and family members of the martyrs, exchanged Eid greetings, distributed gifts, and shared moments of joy with them on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Speaking on the occasion, DPO Ziauddin Ahmad said the sacrifices rendered by police martyrs for the peace and security of the country would never be forgotten.
He said Eid-ul-Azha teaches the spirit of sacrifice and devotion, while the martyrs of the police force set lasting examples of bravery, loyalty, and dedication through their supreme sacrifices.
He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police considered the welfare and support of martyrs’ families its foremost responsibility and all available resources would be utilized for their well-being.
The DPO further said that standing beside the families of martyrs and Ghazis during religious and festive occasions was part of the proud traditions of the police force and such support would continue in all circumstances.
