DPO,DC warn transport owners against overcharge

SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Apr, 2026) District Police Officer(DPO) Dost Muhammad and Deputy Commissioner(DC) Saba Asghar Ali on Saturday warned transport owners against overcharging passengers in the wake of rising fuel prices.

The warning came during a meeting with transporters,where officials directed them to strictly adhere to the government notified fare structure in letter and spirit.

They cautioned that strict action would be taken against those found violating the prescribed fares.

Reports had surfaced following a recent increase in petrol prices that some transporters were charging commuters above the approved rates.
