DPO-Muharram DPO reviews Muharram security arrangements in Cantonment areas

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Jun, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Ziauddin Ahmed, visited various Imambargahs and security points within the jurisdiction of Cantonment Police Station and reviewed the security arrangements ahead of Muharram.

During the visit, the DPO assessed the security measures in place and met with police officers and personnel deployed at different locations. He was accompanied by SP City Division Muhammad Nauman, DSP City Malik Abid Iqbal, SHO Cantonment Abdul Ghaffar Khan, and the In-charge of the District Special Branch (DSB).

The DPO got briefed from officers responsible for the Imambargahs regarding the security plan and directed them to ensure strict vigilance during Muharram processions and religious gatherings.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of alertness and professionalism to safeguard public safety and preserve law and order.

Later, Ziauddin Ahmed also inspected various entry and exit checkpoints across the area, where he reviewed the overall security situation and instructed personnel to remain vigilant and effectively monitor movement during the sensitive period.
