DPO pays tribute to journalists on World Press Freedom Day

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) District Police Officer (DPO) Muhammad Sohaib Ashraf paid tribute to the journalist

community on the occasion of World Press Freedom Day, acknowledging their vital role in society

and commitment to truth.

In his message issued by the district police spokesman, he said that journalism was the fourth pillar of the state and played a key role in the reformation and development of society.

He stated that Sargodha Police highly appreciated the dedication, professionalism and hard work of journalists who continued to perform their duties with responsibility.

The DPO said that Sargodha Police remained committed to working closely with the journalist community to promote a peaceful and well-informed society. “We will extend full cooperation to journalists at every step and ensure their professional protection so that they can carry out their duties without fear,” he added.
