SIALKOT, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 31st Mar, 2026) The 151st meeting of the District Quality Control board (DQCB) was held at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Tuesday,chaired by Saba Asghar Ali,where officials reviewed health and drug control issues in detail.
The session was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Naeem Bashir, Chief Executive Officer Health Chaudhry Aslam,Secretary DQCB Farah Majeed and Drug Controllers Shabnam Akram,Naveed Sarwar and Abu Bakar.
A total of 32 cases from across the district were heard.
DC said that ensuring the availability of safe and quality medicines was a top priority and warned that negligence or violations would not be tolerated.
During the proceedings,strict action was taken against banned and unregistered medicines.
Seven medical stores were referred to the drug court,16 outlets were issued warnings,six were ordered for re-inspection, and three cases were adjourned due to absence.
The DC directed officers to strengthen field monitoring and continue crackdowns against illegal medicines throughout the district.
