Dr. Tariq lauds Pakistani leadership role in US-Iran peace agreement

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 15th Jun, 2026) Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Monday praised the leadership role of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar in facilitating historic peace agreement between the United States and Iran.

On the social media platform X, he commended the “visionary leadership” of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the continued diplomatic efforts of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, terming their contributions highly commendable.

Dr. Tariq said Pakistan’s leadership had played a bridging role through effective diplomacy at a time when the world was facing fears of a potentially major and dangerous confrontation.

He said Pakistan was now playing an effective, credible, and responsible role in the global diplomatic landscape.

He added that the thoughtful leadership of the prime minister, active diplomacy of the deputy prime minister, strategic insight of the Field Marshal, and continued efforts of the interior minister had collectively enhanced Pakistan’s prestige on the international stage.

He further stated that Pakistan’s leadership had conveyed a clear message that the country stands for peace and stability and believes in resolving issues through dialogue.

He said the nation takes pride in its leadership for safeguarding national interests while contributing meaningfully to global peace, adding that this was not only a victory for Pakistan but also for peace, dialogue, and humanity.
