Driver held for injuring woman in hit-and-run

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Feb, 2026) The New Town Police arrested a driver who allegedly injured a woman in a hit-and-run incident caused by reckless and negligent driving two days ago.

According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesman on Monday, the suspect struck the woman and fled the scene after abandoning the car.

He said the New Town Police utilised technical and human intelligence to trace and apprehend the accused, adding that the vehicle had been taken into custody.
