Drug peddler arrested with 1.4kg hashish in Chiniot

CHINIOT, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd May, 2026) Police in Chiniot on Sunday arrested a suspected drug peddler and recovered 1,400 grams of hashish during an operation conducted by Saddar Police Station officials. The raid was led by Sub-Inspector Imran Khan and Assistant Sub-Inspector Mukhtar Ahmed along with their team.

According to police sources, a case has been registered against the accused under relevant narcotics laws at Saddar Police Station, and further investigation is underway to trace possible links and networks involved in drug trafficking.

District Police Officer Dr. Naveed Atif said that effective measures are being implemented across the district to combat drug-related crimes and protect the younger generation from the harmful effects of narcotics.

He added that a special crackdown campaign against drug peddlers is ongoing, emphasizing that strict action and quality investigation of cases will ensure punishment for those involved. He also stressed the importance of public cooperation in achieving the complete eradication of drugs from society.
