Drug smuggling attempt foiled

DG KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2026) Border Military Police foiled an interprovincial drug smuggling attempt in the Bawata area near the Balochistan–Punjab border.

A vehicle coming from Balochistan was intercepted and searched.

Officials recovered 9 kg of hashish and 4 kg of ice from hidden compartments.

Two suspects, Raqeeb Khan and Abu Bakar, were arrested. The drugs were being transported from Qila Saifullah to Bahawalpur.

A case has been registered and further investigation is underway.
