KAROR LAL ESAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Apr, 2026) In a significant development in the fight against narcotics, the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge, Mr. Imran Safdar, has announced its verdict in a drug trafficking case, awarding a substantial prison sentence to the accused.
According to case details, the court concluded hearings in case number 502/24 registered under Section 9C. After reviewing the evidence and arguments, the court found the accused, Haseeb-ur-Rehman son of Muhammad Ramzan, belonging to the Rajput community and a resident of Ward No.
7, Karor Lal Esan, guilty of selling illegal drugs.
The court sentenced the convict to 9 years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of Rs. 100,000. In case of non-payment of the fine, the convict will have to serve additional imprisonment as per law.
It is noteworthy that the accused was previously out on bail. However, immediately after the announcement of the verdict, he was taken into custody from the courtroom.
The judgment is being seen as an important step forward in ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in the region.
