Durrani welcomes new DG PSB, demands restoration of PCKF

QUETTA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) The Pakistan Canoe and Kayak Federation (PCKF) sub-headquarters recently hosted an elegant Eid Milan Party at the prestigious Hayat Durrani Water sports academy International Pvt.Ltd (HDWSA) and its sprawling ranch at Hanna Lake, Quetta.

According to press release issued here Wednesday, the event brought together international, national, and provincial canoeing athletes, alongside top officials from the PCKF and the Balochistan Canoeing Association.

During the ceremony, the Secretary General of the PCKF announced that high-profile national training camps and upcoming provincial and national canoeing championships would soon be organized at Hanna Lake to further elevate the sport across the country.

Addressing the gathering, Shahzada Hayatullah Khan Durrani (Pride of Performance) strongly condemned the actions of the former Pakistan Sports board (PSB) Director General, labeling the disaffiliation of the PCKF as malicious, unconstitutional, and entirely unlawful.

"The previous management illegally and without justification disaffiliated the PCKF, causing immense damage to Pakistan's canoeing athletes," Durrani stated.

He highlighted that despite never receiving any grant-in-aid from the PSB, the Federation has maintained an impeccable, scandal-free record since its inception.

Hayatullah Khan Durrani extended his warmest congratulations and a heartfelt welcome to the newly appointed Director General of the PSB / Secretary IPC, Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani.

Expressing full confidence in Mr. Wani’s visionary leadership, administrative competence, and commitment to merit, Durrani voiced strong hope that the new DG would support the country’s dedicated paddlers.

He urged Mr. Wani to immediately restore the official affiliation of the PCKF, undoing past injustices and paving the way for future international achievements.
