Dy Speaker KP Assembly reviews progress on development projects of Upper Chitral

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) Deputy Speaker Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, Suryia Bibi here on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review progress on development projects that are underway in various areas of Upper Chitral.

The meeting was attended by representatives of communication and works department and concerned officials. The meeting was briefed by concerned officials about progress, availability of funds and current status of these projects.

Chairing the meeting, the Deputy Speaker said that sufficient funds had been diverted for completion of these projects that were among top priorities of the government.

She directed the Works Department to submit reports of these projects stressing timely completion.

She also directed the contractors to ensure quality and transparency in these projects and warned action against negligence and use of substandard material in construction process.

The meeting also directed the district administrations to monitor progress of these development projects besides ensuring measures to complete work within stipulated time for public facilitation.
