Easter celebrated peacefully under tight security in DIKhan

Dera Ismail Khan, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) On the special directives of District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed, the police conducted a comprehensive security audit of churches and procession routes across the district on the occasion of Easter.

According to the police spokesman, Superintendent of Police (City Division) Murtaza Khan Bangash, along with SP Security Riaz Khan, visited various churches and sensitive locations to review security measures. Station House Officer (City) Khanzada Khan also supervised the processions to ensure smooth conduct of religious activities.

Security arrangements included deployment of personnel, strict monitoring of entry and exit points, and implementation of other precautionary measures.

Senior officers also monitored the main morning procession to maintain law and order.

All Easter-related events and religious ceremonies concluded peacefully under the enhanced security plan. The Christian community appreciated the efforts of the district police.

DPO Ziauddin Ahmed said that all religions in Pakistan enjoy complete freedom to practice their faith, adding that the police remain fully alert to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
