'Easter gives message of peace, harmony'

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Apr, 2026) Mr Rauel, the leader of Christian community has said that Easter gave message of peace and harmony.

Delivering his message while addressing a gathering held in connection with Easter, he said that It was an honor for Christian community to celebrate Easter and live like a family. “Our prayers are for our homeland Pakistan to see it a country getting goals of progress and prosperity,” he said.

He said that he congratulated the Christian community across Bahawalpur region, on the occasion of Easter. “Culture of Pakistan and its traditional and social values provided us joys and multiply happiness by celebrating Easter,” he said.

It is mentioned here that all arrangements were made at Saint Dominic Church located at Model Town A in Bahawalpur city and other churches situated in different parts of the district for celebrations of Easter.

Meanwhile, District Police Officer Bahawalpur and other senior officials of the law enforcement agencies paid visits to churches to inspect security arrangements. According to a spokesman for Bahawalpur police, security was inspected at entry and exit points of Christian places of worship, adding that walk-through gates, metal detectors, and CCTV cameras were installed there besides deployment of police personnel. On this occasion, the DPO instructed officers and personnel on duty to remain on high alert and to perform their professional responsibilities efficiently.
