Education department criticized for outsourcing school in Shawar

SHANGLA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th May, 2026) Residents of the remote Shawar area of Teshil Puran Shangla here on Tuesday staged a protest against the provincial education department for the outsourcing of the Government Primary School Shawar.

Locals, teachers, students, and their parents chanted slogans and demanded of education department cancel the decision to outsource the school. They criticize the education department for failing to resolve personal issues among the teachers and said that the tussles among teachers have badly affected the school performance and its reputation.

They said that the number of students in school has reduced from 130 to merely 15, adversely affecting the education system in Shawar. They said that instead of solving the problem, authorities have outsourced the school that resulted in increasing problems for students.

Locals said the protest would be continued if the decision was not revoked and a transparent inquiry was not launched to find the exact reasons.
