Education top priority,No child left behind: AJK PM

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, has said that the government’s foremost priority was to ensure that no child is deprived of education due to lack of resources.

He made these assertions while addressing an important meeting that was convened here today to discuss pros and cons of the proposed education package.

The meeting was attended by government ministers including Chaudhry Muhammad Rasheed, Sardar Zia-ul-Qamar, Secretary of Higher Education Tehzeeb-un-Nisa, Secretary of Elementary and Secondary Education Qazi Inayat, Secretary of Finance Hassan Mahmood, and others.

The Prime Minister, on the occasion, instructed authorities concerned to ensure that children from underprivileged and disadvantaged groups receive quality education in accordance with need and merit.

Highlighting the need for technical education, the PM directed the relevant authorities to take practical steps to promote technical and vocational education so that youth can be equipped with skills.

He underscored the importance of integrating modern technology, particularly artificial intelligence, into the curriculum.

During the meeting, the secretary of schools and the secretary of higher education gave a detailed briefing on the proposed education package.
