Efforts intensified for polio eradication in Dera division

DERA ISMAIL KHAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Apr, 2026) The divisional administration have accelerated preparations to ensure the success of the upcoming three-day anti-polio campaign, with a strong focus on coordination, planning and reaching high-risk areas.

In this regard, a meeting of the Divisional Polio Task Force was held here Friday under the chairmanship of Commissioner Dera Division, Daud Khan. The session was attended by Regional Police Officer Dera Ghulam Mubashir Mekan, Deputy Commissioner Dera Abdul Nasir Khan, District Health Officer Syed Muhammad Masood, and other health officials.

During the meeting, a detailed review of preparations across all districts was carried out.

The relevant teams briefed participants on their readiness and operational strategies, while the Deputy Coordinator Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (South) highlighted key aspects of field-level implementation. He emphasized the need for effective planning in high-risk and remote areas, along with improved coordination and integrated efforts.

Commissioner Daud Khan appreciated the efforts of all teams and stressed that a well-coordinated approach and complete preparedness are vital for the campaign’s success. He directed officials to finalize all arrangements in time and further intensify efforts to achieve the best possible results.
