Efforts of PM, Army Chief averted threat of 3rd world war, PML-N workers to celebrate Youm-e-Tashkur Day on Friday

QUETTA, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2026) Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central leader Syed Jahangir Shah on Thursday said that the continuous diplomatic efforts of Prime Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief Field Marshal Hafiz Asim Munir averted the threat of a possible third world war, as PML-N’s workers to celebrate Youm-e-Tashkur Day on Friday in Balochistan.

He said that handling the delicate situation that arose after President Trump’s ultimatum in a friendly manner is a major diplomatic success for Pakistan, for which the entire nation deserved congratulations, PML-N workers would celebrate as a day of thanksgiving (Youm-e-Tashkur) across Balochistan on April 10.

In a statement issued here, Syed Jahangir Shah said under the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan has achieved remarkable success on the global diplomatic front and Pakistan’s role as a responsible state in the ceasefire between Iran and the US was prominent.

He said Field Marshal Asim Munir’s strategic guidance proved to be important for stability in the region, timely decisions of the national leadership have further enhanced Pakistan’s prestige at the diplomatic level, and the active diplomacy of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar also played a key role in establishing peace, Pakistan has fully demonstrated its diplomatic capacity for global peace as a responsible state.

He said that Islamabad’s diplomatic efforts were a significant step towards sustainable peace in the region, the world is recognizing Pakistan’s positive and constructive diplomatic role, the country has set a positive example at the global level by prioritizing dialogue instead of tension.

He said Pakistan has proven that its diplomatic responsibility and capacity for peace in the region were undeniable, Pakistan would continue its role in promoting peace and stability in the region in the future.

He said as per the announcement of Prime Minister Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, the workers of the Muslim League (N) Balochistan would also celebrate Youm-e-Tashkur today (Friday).

He said that in the recent Corps Commanders Conference held under the chairmanship of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, all the Corps Commanders have expressed full confidence in the Field Marshal, which proved that the Pakistan Army would root out terrorism from the country under the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
