RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Leaders of the Restaurants, Caterers, Sweets and Bakers Association Pakistan have urged the Federal Government to grant Eid bonuses and additional allowances to registered Social Security employees in Islamabad, similar to those provided in Punjab.
In a joint statement, the Association’s President Muhammad Farooq Chaudhry and Chairman Mumtaz Ahmed said the Punjab Government’s decision to provide a monthly allowance, an additional Rs 7,000 and an Eid bonus to Social Security employees was a commendable measure that offered substantial financial relief. They expressed regret that no similar measures had been implemented in the Federal Capital.
They emphasised that Social Security employees in Islamabad “contribute equally and pay the same level of contributions as those in Punjab, yet they are being deprived of comparable benefits.
”
They urged authorities to issue special Eid-ul-Fitr bonus orders and provide additional allowances to registered employees in the capital.
The leaders appealed to the Interior Minister, Secretary Interior, and Chief Commissioner Islamabad to take immediate notice in view of rising inflation, noting that granting such bonuses would provide relief, boost employee morale and improve institutional performance.
They urged prompt action to ensure Islamabad’s Social Security employees receive monthly allowances, additional support and Eid bonuses on par with their Punjab counterparts.
