FAISALABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Mar, 2026) Eid shopping activity has gained remarkable momentum across Faisalabad as bustling markets, illuminated shopping centers and roadside stalls attract large crowds of buyers particularly women and children.

A survey conducted in major commercial hubs revealed that markets across the city have been fully decorated with colorful lights and vibrant displays, creating a festive atmosphere as Eid-ul-Fitr approaches.

The prominent areas including Kohinoor Plaza, D-Ground, Anarkali Bazaar, Jhal Khanuana, Jhalvi Market on Jaranwala Road, Jeddah Market on Satiana Road and the historic Clock Tower bazaars are witnessing an extraordinary influx of shoppers.

The traders have adorned their shops and stalls with decorative lighting and stocked a wide range of items including ready-made garments, boutique collections, jewelry, shoes, cosmetics and other essential goods to attract the customers during peak shopping days.

The survey indicated that women and children dominate the shopping rush, thronging markets in large numbers to purchase clothes, matching accessories and footwear for Eid celebrations.

In contrast, men appear less active in shopping activities at this stage as many of them prefer to prioritize purchases for their families before buying for themselves.

Retail outlets dealing in ready-made garments, branded collections and boutique designs have seen a significant increase in footfall as many customers opt for quick and convenient shopping options amid the busy schedule of Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.

The situation has also led to frequent bargaining disputes between customers and shopkeepers particularly in busy markets where women shoppers negotiate prices for garments, jewelry and fashion accessories. Such exchanges have become a routine scene in commercial areas during the peak Eid shopping days.
