Eid-ul-Azha Prayers to be offered 8:00 am Polo Ground

KARACHI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th May, 2026) The largest Eid-ul-Azha congregation in the city under the administration of Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) will be held at Gulshan-e-Jinnah (Polo Ground), where Eid prayers will be offered at 8:00am Maulana Muhammad Ahmed Saleemi will lead the prayers.

According to KMC spokesperson Daniyal Alishan Siyal, this historic and traditional congregation has been taking place at Polo Ground since 1958. Comprehensive arrangements have been made this year for Eid-ul-Azha prayers at the venue.

Governor Sindh Nihal Hashmi, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Abdullah Murad, Municipal Commissioner Abrar Jaffer, diplomats from Islamic countries, former and current Federal and provincial ministers, members of the National and Provincial Assemblies, heads of local government institutions, City Council members, leaders of various political and social organizations, and a large number of prominent citizens are expected to offer Eid prayers at Polo Ground.

On the directives of Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab, special arrangements for ablution facilities have been made for worshippers arriving at Polo Ground, while strict security measures have also been finalized. Disinfectant spray will be carried out around the Eidgah premises. A floral gate has been prepared at the main entrance to welcome worshippers, and fragrance spray will be used in and around the Eidgah before the Eid prayers on the morning of Eid.
