Eid-ul-Fitr prayer offered in Hazara division under strict security

ABBOTTABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Mar, 2026) Like other parts of the country, people in the Hazara division on Saturday offered Eid-ul-Fitr prayers in every city, town, and village of the region under strict security measures.

Hundreds of thousands of devotees offered the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers with religious zeal and fervor, and also exchanged Eid greetings with one another.

In most places, including Haripur, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Havelian, Battagram, and other towns of the Hazara region, Eid-ul-Fitr prayers were offered at 7:00 am, where thousands of Muslims gathered to perform the prayers.

The largest Eid-ul-Fitr congregational prayers were held at Eidgah, Markazi Jamia Masjid Abbottabad, and Jamia Masjid Mandian Abbottabad. Prayers were also held in open spaces in many parts of the city, with thousands of people in attendance.

District administrations and Hazara Police have made special security and traffic arrangements for Eid-ul-Fitr prayers and the influx of tourists.

Police chalked out a comprehensive security program for Eid-ul-Fitr and deployed forces at all mosques during the congregational prayers. Police personnel were also stationed in major areas of the cities, including bazaars, parks, and picnic spots, to prevent any untoward incidents.

More than 10,000 police personnel were deployed across the entire Hazara division to ensure foolproof security during Chand Raat and Eid-ul-Fitr.

Keeping in view the influx of tourists, Hazara traffic police made special arrangements to manage the traffic rush. The Karakoram Highway (KKH) was bifurcated into two lanes with barricades from Havelian to Abbottabad, Public school to Mansehra, and onward.
