Eight gamblers held

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Mar, 2026) Police on Wednesday arrested eight suspects involved in gambling during a crackdown in the Sabzazar area.

According to the spokesperson, a police team conducted a raid on a tip-off at a park along Kharrak Nala, where the accused were found gambling openly using playing cards.

The suspects were identified as Shehbaz, Zulfiqar, Mushtaq, Amanat, Ilyas, Shakeel, Naeem and Ameerz.

Police recovered playing cards and thousands of rupees in cash placed as bets from their possession.

A case has been registered against the accused while further investigation has been initiated.
