Eight shops sealed after milk quality tests, 14 samples declared pure

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Jun, 2026) In a major step to ensure the provision of safe and quality milk to consumers, the District Administration Abbottabad, in collaboration with the Halal Food Authority, conducted a comprehensive laboratory analysis of milk being sold across the city.

According to official details, the Halal Food Authority collected 22 milk samples from various milk shops and dairy farms in Abbottabad for laboratory testing. The results revealed that eight samples failed to meet the prescribed quality standards, while 14 samples were declared clean, organic, and fit for human consumption.

Following the laboratory findings, the District Administration launched an operation against the sale of substandard milk and sealed eight shops involved in violations of food safety and quality regulations.

Officials stated that strict action would continue against those found compromising public health through the sale of adulterated or low-quality milk.

The district administration reiterated its commitment to ensuring the availability of quality food products and protecting consumers from health hazards. Authorities also urged milk sellers and dairy farm owners to comply with food safety standards and maintain hygiene throughout the supply chain.

Citizens have been encouraged to report complaints, concerns, and suggestions regarding milk quality and other food safety issues to the District Control Room so that prompt action can be taken.
