FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2026) Chairman Ulema Council Pakistan (UCP) Sahibzada Zahid Mahmood Qasmi has said that elimination of Khawarij menace in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa is the most pressing need to ensure peace and stability, as the group is involved in killing innocent people and spreading chaos.

Addressing Juma congregation at Jamia Masjid Gol here, he paid tribute to Pakistan’s security forces for eliminating 22 terrorists in a recent operation, stating that those militants were involved in multiple acts of terrorism and mass killings of innocent people.

He said that ongoing dialogue efforts in Islamabad were causing concern for India and Israel, alleging that certain Indian journalists were resorting to propaganda against Pakistan due to its growing international standing.

Referring to the Pahalgam incident, he said that attempts were being made to link it with Pakistan through baseless allegations.

He said that the Government of Pakistan had strongly rejected Indian accusations and termed them propaganda aimed at maligning the country.

He condemned false narrative of Indian authorities and media, and reiterated that Pakistani nation stood united with its government and armed forces.

He said that Pakistan was actively pursuing diplomatic efforts for regional and global peace, which were being acknowledged internationally.
