Emergency control room set up for displaced families from Dara Adam Khel

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 2nd Jun, 2026) District Administration Kohat has established a Special Emergency Control Room to assist the families displaced from the Tor Chappar area of Tribal Sub Division Dara Adam Khel following reports of population movement triggered by the prevailing security situation.

MNA Shehryar Afridi initiated the measure to ensure timely assistance for affected residents in consultation with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Law Minister Aftab Alam and implemented under the supervision of Commissioner Kohat Division Syed Motasim Billah Shah and Deputy Commissioner Kohat Muhammad Nawaz Wazir.

According to the district administration on Tuesday, the control room will operate around the clock to facilitate displaced families facing difficulties related to shelter, medical assistance, food supplies or other essential services.

The administration has designated the Assistant Commissioner Dara Adam Khel as the focal person responsible for coordinating relief efforts and ensuring the prompt resolution of complaints and urgent needs of the affected population.

Afridi assured displaced residents that both he and the district administration would remain fully engaged in supporting them during the crisis.

He said all available resources would be utilized to provide relief and assistance, emphasizing that the protection, rehabilitation and welfare of citizens remain the government's top priorities.

The establishment of the emergency response mechanism comes as authorities continue to monitor the evolving security situation in the area and coordinate support measures for affected communities.
