Ex-servicemen body condemns killing of Maulana Sheikh Idrees

Chief Organiser of Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society Aziz Ahmed Awan on Wednesday strongly condemned the killing of religious scholar Maulana Sheikh Idrees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, expressing solidarity with the bereaved families

RAWALPINDI, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Chief Organiser of Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society Aziz Ahmed Awan on Wednesday strongly condemned the killing of religious scholar Maulana Sheikh Idrees in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, expressing solidarity with the bereaved families.

In a statement, he said the society shared grief with the family of the martyr and reiterated its stance against terrorism in all forms.

He expressed confidence that terrorism would soon be eliminated from the country, adding that Pakistan’s security forces were working round the clock to restore peace.

Aziz Ahmed Awan also said the organisation would continue its programmes related to Marka-e-Haq, expressing confidence that just as success was achieved in that campaign, the forces would also succeed in the fight against terrorism.
