The Pakistan Ex-Serviceman's Association PESS has praised the leadership of Syed Asim Munir, saying his strategy has helped improve Pakistan’s global standing and diplomatic image
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2026) The Pakistan Ex-Serviceman's Association PESS has praised the leadership of Syed Asim Munir, saying his strategy has helped improve Pakistan’s global standing and diplomatic image.
In a statement issued on Friday, Chief Coordinator of the association, Aziz Ahmed Awan, said Pakistan had faced challenges in the past regarding its diplomatic credibility due to what he termed Indian propaganda, but recent policies had helped reassert the country’s identity at the international level.
He said the world was now viewing Pakistan as a proponent of peace, stability and a constructive global role, adding that narratives against the country were losing traction.
Awan said that under the leadership of Field Marshal Asim Munir, not only had border security been strengthened, but notable progress had also been made on the diplomatic front. He added that Pakistan was moving towards internal stability and economic strength while emerging as a responsible and dynamic state globally.
He said Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace, conflict resolution and dialogue was being increasingly recognized by the international community.
On the occasion, the association called for the nomination of Field Marshal Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace prize, citing his efforts to promote global peace, reduce the risk of conflict and encourage dialogue.
