Ex-servicemen body lauds military leadership

RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Apr, 2026) Chief Organiser of Pakistan Ex-Servicemen Society (PESS), Aziz Ahmed Awan on Wednesday praised the leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying his strategy helped reduce war threats and promote dialogue.

Addressing a meeting in Rawalpindi, he said the leadership improved Pakistan’s global image and strengthened its diplomatic standing.

He said Pakistan was now being recognised as a peace-promoting state committed to stability and dialogue.

He added that the country had achieved both defence and diplomatic successes.

The organisation demanded the nomination of Syed Asim Munir for the Nobel Peace prize for promoting global peace.
