Excise inspector held for taking bribe in Muzaffargarh

MUZAFFARGARH, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 1st May, 2026) Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) arrested an Excise inspector red-handed while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs10,000 in the Muradabad area of Muzaffargarh.

According to sources, the arrested officer was identified as Muzammil Ismail while his co-staffer named Ashfaq was also taken into custody.

The action was carried out on the directives of Director General Anti-Corruption Sohail Zafar Chattha, under the supervision of Regional Director Dera Ghazi Khan division Zia-ul-Haq Dena. The raid was conducted led by Circle Officer Ammar Yasir in Muradabad area. Further interrogations were launched to unearth the expected network.
