Extensive security deployed as 417 Eid gatherings held

BAHAWALPUR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 21st Mar, 2026) More than 417 Eid prayer gatherings were held across all six tehsils of Bahawalpur district,according to an official statement issued by the district administration.

The statement said that over 1,200 police personnel were deployed at mosques and Eidgahs to ensure security during the prayers.

Authorities added that comprehensive security arrangements were put in place to maintain peace and order throughout the district.

No untoward incidents were reported, and the prayers concluded peacefully under tight security.
