Faisal Akram assumes charge of SP Motorway Police

SARGODHA, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Jun, 2026) Newly appointed SP Motorway Police, M-2 South Sector, Faisal Akram, formally assumed charge of his office.

He was warmly welcomed by officers and personnel of the Motorway Police, who extended their best wishes for his successful tenure, said a spokesperson for motorway police here on Thursday.

After taking charge, SP Faisal Akram visited various sections of the office and planted a sapling in the premises as part of a tree plantation activity.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the Primary objective of the Motorway Police is to provide safe, efficient and high-quality travel facilities to the public.

He emphasized that all available resources would be utilized to ensure public service, strict enforcement of traffic laws and promotion of road safety.

He made it clear that no leniency would be shown towards traffic violations, particularly overloading and overspeeding, which pose serious risks to road users.

Motorway Police officers congratulated Faisal Akram on assuming his new responsibilities and expressed confidence that under his leadership, the institution's performance would further improve and the standard of public service would be enhanced.
