Fake cold drinks unit raided

LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 25th Apr, 2026) A raid was conducted on a fake cold drinks unit at Bheeni Underpass and a confectionery unit on Multan Road, and 8,130 liters of fake cold drinks and a large quantity of defective dates and chemicals were destroyed.

According to the details, a case was registered for making fake cold drinks and a fine of Rs 2 lakh was imposed on the confectionery unit.

Cold drinks were being made using unapproved formulas and unfiltered water.

Rusty machinery, dirty water standing on the broken floor, and a swarm of flies were found in the mixing section.

Dirty racks, junk, rusty tanks, and fungus-infected freezers were found in the storage area.
