FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Jun, 2026) Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) Vice President Engr. Asim Munir warmly congratulated and expressed its sincere appreciation to Mr. Ali Mustafa Dar, Advisor to the Chief Minister on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Special Initiatives, for his business friendly decision to extend market closing time from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
In a statement here on Thursday, he said that this timely policy adjustment would provide immediate and tangible benefits to Faisalabad’s traders, retailers, manufacturers, and consumers. By allowing extended market hours, the measure supports increased sales opportunities for small and medium enterprises besides easing peak hour congestion and creating greater flexibility for working families and shift workers to access essential goods and services, he added.
He said, "We commend Mr. Ali Mustafa Dar and the Provincial Administration for this practical step that demonstrates a clear understanding of the needs of our business community. Extending market hours will boost economic activity across retail and manufacturing supply chains, provide relief to shopkeepers during busy periods, and signal Faisalabad’s readiness to adopt policies that promote commerce while maintaining public order.
