FCCP adjourns hearing on plea against KP chief minister over alleged force for PTI founder’s release

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Mar, 2026) The Federal Constitutional Court on Thursday adjourned the hearing of a petition filed against KP chief minister Sohail Afridi over allegations of forming a force for the release of the Imran Khan.

A two-member bench headed by Justice Ali Baqar Najafi heard the case.

During the proceedings, the court observed that it cannot intervene in political statements.

Justice Ali Baqar Najafi said that if there is any concrete evidence or an official notification regarding the formation of such a force, it should be presented before the court.

Counsel for the petitioner sought time to submit evidence, which was granted by the court.

Subsequently, the hearing of the case was adjourned.
