FDA hosts farewell of outgoing DC

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Jul, 2026) Director General (DG) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Muhammad Asif Chaudhry hosted a farewell in honor of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner (DC) Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir after his transfer.

Additional Director General FDA Qaiser Abbas Rind, Additional Commissioner Coordination Tanveer Murtaza, Director Local Government Muhammad Sarwar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Shereena Janejo, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Headquarters) Sara Zainab, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Anwar Ali, Managing Director Suthra Punjab Agency Abid Hussain Bhatti, Assistant Commissioner City Adil Umar, Assistant Commissioner Saddar Dr. Zulqarnain Saleem, along with officers from various government departments participated in the ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, DG FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry paid glowing tribute to Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir for his outstanding administrative, developmental and public service contributions to Faisalabad District.

He said that during his tenure, Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir promoted transparent, dynamic, and people-centric governance, which strengthened coordination among government departments and accelerated the implementation of numerous development projects.

He further stated that Deputy Commissioner's leadership remained exemplary in ensuring the timely resolution of public issues, anti-encroachment operations, sanitation and cleanliness, revenue administration, maintenance of law and order, arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram, and various public welfare initiatives.

The DG FDA remarked that the exemplary cooperation between the FDA and the district administration significantly advanced several urban development projects, while joint efforts consistently proved effective in improving public service delivery.

He described Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir is a competent, principled, and visionary administrator who set a remarkable example through his professionalism, integrity and tireless dedication.

Expressing his best wishes, he said he was confident that Captain (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir would continue to serve with the same commitment and success in his new assignment.

In his remarks, Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir thanked DG FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry for arranging the farewell ceremony in his honor. He said that throughout his tenure in Faisalabad, he received wholehearted support from all government institutions particularly the FDA, which enabled the successful achievement of numerous public service objectives.

He emphasized that effective inter-departmental coordination, mutual trust, and teamwork are the cornerstones of a successful administrative system.

He appreciated the leadership and officers of the FDA for their proactive and constructive role in urban development, completion of development projects, removal of encroachments, revenue management, and improvement of public facilities.

Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir also said that he would always cherish the affection and cooperation extended by the people of Faisalabad.

He reaffirmed his commitment that, in his new role as Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi, public service, accelerated development, transparent governance and merit would remain his foremost priorities.

Later, DG FDA Muhammad Asif Chaudhry presented a commemorative shield to Captain (Retired) Nadeem Nasir while the participants extended their best wishes for his future responsibilities.
