FDA implementing e-FOAS successfully

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 3rd Jun, 2026) Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) is implementing the E-Filing and Office Automation System (e-FOAS) successfully for all its official correspondence and administrative operations.

Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General Muhammad Asif Chaudhry reviewed progress of the implementation of E-Filing and Office Automation System (e-FOAS) during a meeting and issued necessary instructions to the officers.

Additional Director General Qaiser Abbas Rind, Chief Engineer Mehr Ayub, Directors Town Planning Asma Mohsin and Afnan Saeed Sandhu, Directors Estate Management Junaid Hassan Manj and Sohail Maqsood Pannu, Director IT Yasir Ejaz Chattha, along with other officers were also present on the occasion.

The DG FDA said that introduction of digital e-FOAS system is a revolutionary initiative of the Punjab government in the field of Information Technology, aimed at accelerating office procedures and eliminating the traditional file system in official correspondence.

He said that government offices are being made legally bound to ensure 100 percent implementation of the system, therefore, no effort should be spared in adopting this modern mechanism.

He directed FDA officers to ensure the complete digitization of all official records and to immediately remove any obstacles hindering the implementation of the e-FOAS system.

He further instructed officers to acquire comprehensive knowledge of emerging information technology trends and to ensure continuous monitoring of official proceedings. He said that the implementation of this state-of-the-art system would not only save time and financial resources but would also enhance transparency, efficiency, and the prompt resolution of citizens' issues, yielding significant results from the revolutionary reforms introduced by the Government of Punjab.

He also directed the Additional Director General to closely supervise the paperless transformation of all departmental operations under e-FOAS and to hold accountable any staff members found negligent in fulfilling their responsibilities.
