ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Jul, 2026) Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry on Tuesday urged the opposition, particularly the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to initiate dialogue to resolve political issues and address the country's key challenges.

Speaking to a private television channel, the minister said dialogue remained the only viable path forward for resolving political matters. He urged the opposition to engage in constructive discussions on national issues, especially those related to security and stability.

He emphasized the need for all political parties, particularly PTI, to work together in combating terrorism and strengthening security in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

He stressed that national unity was essential to effectively tackle the country's security challenges.

Responding to a question, the minister said all political parties stood united with the armed forces in the fight against terrorism.

He paid tribute to the armed forces, saying soldiers were making immense sacrifices in the war against terror. He also urged PTI to put national interests above political considerations and contribute to the country's development and progress.
