PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 12th May, 2026) Federal Ombudsman Naved Kamran Baloch here Tuesday directed officials of his institution to make public service their foremost priority and ensure that no effort is spared in resolving people’s problems.
He said serving the public is not only the duty of government employees but also an act of devotion.
He further stressed that government departments must ensure implementation of the Federal Ombudsman’s decisions so that complainants can receive timely relief.
He expressed these views during a meeting with officers of the Federal Ombudsman’s regional offices in Peshawar, Swat, and Abbottabad while visiting the regional office in Peshawar.
During his visit, the Federal Ombudsman also met with Provincial Ombudsman Mutahar Zeb. The meeting discussed public grievance redressal, institutional cooperation, and measures to further improve access to justice.
<?php /*?> <?php */?>Addressing the officers, Naved Kamran Baloch said that the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat serves as a court for the poor, aimed at providing relief to underprivileged and marginalized segments of society.
He urged government officials to utilize all available resources to address public complaints effectively.
The Federal Ombudsman also directed authorities to expedite efforts for identifying suitable land for the construction of the Peshawar regional office building.
Emphasizing the importance of the Informal Resolution of Disputes (IRD) program, he instructed officials to make the initiative more practical and effective. He said the IRD program is being reorganized to maximize relief for the public.
During the meeting, the Federal Ombudsman was also given a detailed briefing on the performance of the regional offices.
