Federal Ombudsman takes notice of complaints against Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS)

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th May, 2026) Federal Ombudsman Naveed Kamran Baloch has taken notice of complaints lodged against the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) and constituted an inspection team to assess the situation said in a Press Release issued here on Wednesday.

The team, headed by Senior Advisor Rana Seerat, includes Advisor Major General (R) Haroon Sikandar Pasha and consultant Parvez Haleem.

The inspection team is scheduled to visit the hospital on Thursday to review the nature of complaints. During the visit, the team will hold meetings with the hospital administration and also interact with patients to hear their grievances firsthand. It will further evaluate the implementation status of recommendations made during previous visits.

The inspection team will compile its findings along with recommendations and submit a detailed report to the Federal Ombudsman for further action.
