Fence installation starts in Board Bazar

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Jun, 2026) Capital Metropolitan Government and Peshawar Development Authority has started installation of iron fencing in busy Board Bazar as part of efforts to stop encroachment.

The installation has been started to prevent encroachment and to address congestion that was affecting traffic and pedestrian movement on busy board bazar and adjacent area.

Commissioner Peshawar Division, Riaz Khan Mehsud and officials of town municipal administration also visited to inspect installation process. He also directed timely completion of installation for public facilitation and to address traffic related issues.

He also directed traffic police to stop any illegal business activities and to bar drivers from parking vehicles outside of the fence saying these measures are necessary to ensure smooth flow of traffic on university road and Jamrud road.
